One of Pennsylvania's fastest-growing comedy festivals brings star power and big energy to the Great Lakes region

ERIE, Pa. - PennZone -- The Flagship City Comedy Fest returns to Erie from April 23 to 27, 2025, with its biggest lineup yet. Now in its third year, the fest brings nationally recognized comedians, rising talent, and high-energy performances to venues throughout the city. This five-day celebration of comedy aims to highlight Erie as a vibrant cultural hub filled with laughter, creativity, and community spirit.

This year's headliners promise something for every comedy fan. Shane Torres, known for appearances on CONAN, Comedy Central Presents, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, leads the bill with his blend of dry humor and heartfelt storytelling. He's best known for his viral "Guy Fieri" bit and regularly tours with Bert Kreischer.

Joining him is Dwight Simmons, a standout storyteller whose special Who's the Master? and album Blessed & Highly Favored have earned critical acclaim. His thoughtful, personal comedy continues to build momentum across the country.

Brandie Posey, co-host of the podcast Lady to Lady, adds her signature alt-comedy edge. A touring comic featured on MTV and Comedy Central, Posey delivers smart, bold stand-up that resonates with diverse audiences.

Rounding out the lineup is Ben Roy, star of TruTV's Those Who Can't and founding member of The Grawlix. Known for his punk rock–infused delivery, Roy has drawn comparisons to Bill Hicks and Sam Kinison. His latest special, HYENA, is now streaming on Hulu.

Performances will take place at favorite local venues including 10/20 Collective, Room 33, Werner Books & Coffee, Calamari's Squid Row, and Black Monk Brewery. In addition to headliner shows, the fest will feature themed showcases, regional acts, and a strong spotlight on Erie-based comedians.

"This fest is about more than just laughs—it's about community, creativity, and putting Erie on the map as a cultural destination," said Anthony Morelli, Fest Director and local comedian. "We're thrilled to bring this caliber of talent to our city and show off what makes Erie such a vibrant place to perform."
