Chicago's award-winning mobile application design and development consultancy announces new leadership.
CHICAGO - PennZone -- Heather Brown has been named Chief Executive Officer of Eight Bit Studios, a Chicago-based B2B service provider known for exceptional user experience, design, and app development. She will be the first CEO in the studio's 12-year history.
"It's an honor to lead such an amazing group of digital creators with diverse perspectives working together to champion the best products for our clients," says Heather Brown. "Alongside our team, I am committed to helping our client partners advance their digital journeys and create solutions for web and mobile apps their business and users need."
The elevation of Heather to CEO signals a new era for Eight Bit as she will be taking the reins from the original co-founders who will focus on cultivating partner relationships and working with Heather to drive strategy.

Heather begins her CEO tenure 18 months after Eight Bit adopted a work-from-home policy in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. She will be leading the company and its 30+ employees as they embrace a more hybrid work model moving forward.
Eight Bit Studios has worked with leading Chicago organizations like the Field Museum, Echo Logistics, Allstate, Vivid Seats, Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), UL, EdNavigator, and more to deliver world-class user experiences across devices, platforms, and continents; earning top awards and recognition along the way including frequent 4 consecutive Inc5000 list placements and Clutch's rankings of best B2B services providers globally and in Chicago.
Heather Brown has been instrumental in that climb, having joined the team in 2012 as a Project Manager and steadfastly demonstrating her passion, commitment, and zeal for all things Eight Bit. Within 4 years, Heather was promoted to Director of Project Management where she helped define the role and shape delivery processes. Heather continued to thrive over the next 4 years which led to another promotion, this time to the executive management team where she was pivotal in further developing Eight Bit's mission and core values. As Managing Partner, Heather led strategic financial planning and goal setting initiatives, establishing success metrics, and lining up business partnerships to help achieve them.
