Dr. John Schmitt, Dr. Uma, Dr. Doug Schmitt
Dr. John Schmitt has joined Tri-Hill Family Dentistry in York, PA. Dr. Schmitt holds a B.S. and a D.M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. He completed a General Practice Residency at Wellspan York Hospital.

YORK, Pa. - PennZone -- Dr. John Schmitt has joined his father, Dr. Douglas Schmitt, and Dr. Uma Vadlamani at Tri-Hill Family Dentistry in York, PA.  A native of York, Dr. John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019 and completed his DMD degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2023.  He also completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Wellspan York Hospital.

In addition to these accomplishments, Dr. Schmitt has volunteered at the Special Olympic Events with the Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry (AADMD) and organized a team of 28 dental students who traveled to Honduras to provide dental care.

Dr. John is the third generation of dentists at Tri-Hill Family Dental.  Dr. Doug commented, "I am very pleased and proud to welcome my son to the practice.  My dad, Dr. Joseph Schmitt, built our current building in 1971.  I joined the practice in 1992.  We welcomed Dr. Uma in 2022.  Over the years, it has been gratifying to serve many generations of patients and meet their needs. "

Dr. John said that he is very enthusiastic about his new position.  "I grew up working in the practice.  I look forward to continuing the tradition of providing personalized, state-of-the-art dental care.  There are always new restorative materials and other technological advances that we will continue to incorporate into the practice to benefit our patients."

Dr. Doug emphasized that the philosophy of the practice will not change.  "Our goal continues to be to give our patients the best of both worlds—modern, high-tech dentistry in a pleasant and relaxed environment.  We have an excellent team who are very friendly and professional. Tri-Hill Family Dentistry has a long history of listening to patients' concerns, explaining treatment options and working cooperatively with each patient to achieve optimal oral health."
