Ellen Gillette Pen It Publications
KATY, Texas - PennZone -- Ellen Gillette is a Florida author and illustrator who has published books in several genres under her own name as well as under pen name Emily Sharpe. A former newspaper columnist, missionary, and educator, she currently substitute teaches and performs with several community theaters. Another inspirational romance of hers, "For Such a Time" (Pen It Publications) was recently a finalist in the 2022 American Fiction Awards. Ellen is available for speaking engagements and book signings.

"Joy in Yona Valley" continues the story of the four Calvert sisters which began with "Love in Yona Valley." Darcy, Grace, Ruby and Kendra are still settling into the home and property their father inherited from his estranged brother in rural North Carolina and adjusting to life without their mother. Challenges, new friendships, and romance develop for the Calvert family as they choose to forgive old hurts and deepen in their faith.

Published by Pen It Publications, Gillette picks up from  Book 1 of the series, Darcy Calvert has a crisis of faith. Ruby is reeling from a broken engagement. Grace is sure she is too young to catch the eye of her new boss at the hardware store. and Kendra helps a lost little boy and befriends his family. I am excited to continue their individual journeys here as Darcy's faith grows along with her relationship with the town vet, as Ruby chooses to forgive those who hurt her, as Grace and Jack's romance deepens, as Kendra and little Billy's family joins the Calverts on their farm, and as God brings answers to prayer for several others in the community.
