Member ~ Pittsburgh, PA - Workbox, a national workspace operator, is set to open its newest location on the 31st floor of One PPG Place in downtown Pittsburgh. The company, dedicated to providing solutions and resources for growing businesses, will offer local entrepreneurs and companies the opportunity to be a part of a dynamic coworking community.
The new location, expected to open in January 2025, will be Workbox's first in Pennsylvania and its 11th nationwide. With its prime location directly downtown and adjacent to historic Market Square, Workbox Pittsburgh - PPG Place is poised to become a hub for collaboration and innovation.
"We are incredibly excited to be opening our first location in Pittsburgh at one of the most iconic locations in the city - PPG Plaza," said John Wallace, CEO and Co-Founder of Workbox. "Workbox offers world-class workspace accommodations, but what makes our space unique is our focus on member connectivity. We believe that Pittsburgh's highly collaborative business community is what sets it apart and we are thrilled to be a part of it."
Spanning over 23,000 square feet, Workbox Pittsburgh - PPG Place boasts sweeping views of the city and surrounding areas. Members will have access to an entire floor of flexible workspace options including lounges, conference rooms, an open kitchen, and offices for teams ranging from 1 to 16 individuals. The decision to lease an entire floor at One PPG Place is a testament to the building's reputation as a premier business address in Pittsburgh's Central Business District (CBD). According to Tripp Merchant, Senior Vice President at JLL Americas, "This transaction highlights the growing demand for flexible workspaces in prime locations." He also believes that Workbox's presence will contribute greatly to the vibrancy of One PPG Place and the continued revitalization of the CBD.
JLL's Q3 2024 Pittsburgh Office Market Dynamics Report shows a decline in office vacancies, indicating a recovery in the city's office market. This trend is supported by businesses implementing long-term workplace strategies that prioritize collaboration spaces to enhance engagement and culture. Workbox's decision to move to Pittsburgh's CBD aligns with this trend.
To attract potential members, Workbox is offering various leasing specials, including three months free on any 12-month lease. There are also floating membership and reserved desk options for individuals looking for flexible plans.
