PITTSBURGH, April 25, 2024 ~ MSA Safety, Incorporated has announced the appointment of Larry De Maria as its new Executive Director of Investor Relations. De Maria, a CFA, will report to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Lee McChesney and will also join MSA's Global Finance Leadership Team.
De Maria brings with him a wealth of experience in the financial industry, having previously served as Group Head of Global Industrial Infrastructure Equity Research at William Blair & Company. Prior to that, he was an equity research analyst at Sterne Agee and held roles in institutional equities at Prudential Equity Group and A.G. Edwards.
In his new role, De Maria will be responsible for furthering MSA's investor relations strategy, building relationships with investors and analysts, and effectively communicating the company's performance and strategies for delivering sustained shareholder value.

"We are thrilled to welcome Larry to MSA Safety as our new Executive Director of Investor Relations," said McChesney. "With his extensive knowledge of our business and the investor landscape, we are confident that he will play a key role in driving our continued success."
Meanwhile, Chris Hepler, who previously held the position of Executive Director of Corporate Development and Investor Relations since 2021, will now lead MSA's corporate development function. In this role, Hepler will focus on expanding MSA's acquisition and inorganic investment activities in line with the company's strategic objectives.
McChesney also took the opportunity to thank Hepler for his contributions in advancing MSA's investor relations efforts over the past three years. "I am excited to have both Chris and Larry leading these two important functions within our company," he said. "I have no doubt that they will work together with our investors and business teams to ensure a smooth transition."
