Award-winning writer, poet, and cultural anthropologist Lauren Coyle Rosen drops a hauntingly beautiful musical debut album.

WASHINGTON - PennZone -- Purify Flame, the debut indie pop album from the widely acclaimed Philadelphia and DC-based writer and artist, Lauren Coyle Rosen, is set to drop on May 12, 2025. Lauren is a prolific, inspired creator of multiple modes. Her most recent book, Hannibal Lokumbe – coauthored with the leading orchestral composer and jazz legend Hannibal Lokumbe – was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize, National Book Award, and National Book Critics Circle Award.

The album marks Lauren's striking arrival as a singer-composer set to alter hearts and spirits with her enchanting, hypnotic melodies and transporting poetic lyrics. She combines indie and chamber pop sounds in her sonic dreamscapes. Her music bears nostalgic, vintage sounds as well as futuristic tones and visions.

"I created this album as both a journey into my life's trials and transformations, as well as a catalogue of the human spirit in its many dimensions – ones that defy linear narratives or even representation in words at all," Lauren said.

Lauren sets to songs her lifelong journeys of transformation, spiritual rebirth, and fearless explorations of the human condition. This album is a story of an irrepressible spirit and a tribute to universal quests for freedom and truth.

"I hope that this album will resonate with listeners as a sonic portrait and living soundscape that opens doors beyond everyday stories and experiences into surrealist, other-worldly realms of beauty, freedom, and truth," she added.

The album will be available to stream and purchase on all major music platforms upon release. To learn more, visit Lauren's official website at www.laurencoylerosen.com. She can also be found on Spotify and Wikipedia.
